Politico: Morning Transportation (October 27, 2014)
HAPPENING TODAY: The Shared-Use Mobility Center, a partnership designed to connect and integrate existing transportation services (including transit and taxis) with shared-use systems (like ridesharing and bike-sharing), launches today with a party in Chicago and a workshop featuring representatives from Lyft, Uber, Chicago DOT, the Chicago Transit Authority and others. From the group’s website: “SUMC will broker the advancement of the industry by keeping the focus on innovation as it documents trends in new modes, supports research, shapes policy, transfers knowledge and educates policy makers and stakeholders.” Check it out: http://bit.ly/ZQoSy2
