Moving Forward Together 2018

Join the North American Bikeshare Association (NABSA) and the Better Bike Share Partnership (BBP) in Portland, Oregon from September 4-7, 2018 for Moving Forward Together, a joint conference that will focus on challenges and opportunities in the bikeshare space.

Who should attend?

Anyone working in or with the bikeshare industry is encouraged to attend: bikeshare operators, equipment manufacturers, technology vendors, city staff working on bikeshare or bicycling infrastructure, bike advocacy organizations, planners, and community partners using bikeshare as a tool for local priorities.

NABSA & BBP offer a government/non-profit discounted rate. Scholarships are also available to ensure a diversity of organizations, backgrounds and expertise. Members of NABSA receive one complimentary conference ticket per $1,000 dues level.

What topics will be covered?

Agenda details will be shared as speakers and presenters are confirmed. Breakout sessions may include presentations and discussion in the following areas:

• Ebikes, dockless bikes and other innovations
• Effective community engagement, ambassador programs and strategies for intersectionality
• Pricing and payment – what’s new, what works, what serves
• Privacy concerns – balancing city programs with personal data
• Research beat – what are we learning and how do we use it?

The North American Bike Share Association (NABSA) connects the biggest minds in bikeshare to support, promote and enhance bikeshare across North America. NABSA is the bikeshare industry’s membership organization with representation from system owners, operators, host cities, equipment providers and technology providers.

The Better Bike Share Partnership is a collaboration funded by The JPB Foundation to build equitable and replicable bike share systems. The partners include The City of Philadelphia, Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) and the PeopleForBikes Foundation. Initially funded in 2014 for a three-year period, The JPB Foundation renewed funding in 2017 for an additional two years.
